This rule started at 11:59pm and was introduced to help stop the fast spread of covid-19 during the second wave. People had to wear a mask when going out for essential reasons like buying groceries, going to work, caring for others, or exercising. The mask had to cover both the nose and mouth properly. Residents could use surgical masks, reusable cloth masks, or other suitable face coverings. Some people, such as young children and those with certain medical conditions, were exempt from this rule. The main goal was to reduce the number of infections, protect vulnerable people, and lower the pressure on hospitals. This decision showed the importance of working together as a community to stay safe and control the virus.
